Boutique showroom experience
In 2019 we moved into Hessle’s decommissioned ticket office. Keeping the original structure of the station the same, we converted the internals of this rare piece of Yorkshire history into a hub for luxury interior design projects.
1832
Construction begins
After a plan was made by various magnates of the East and West Ridings to build a railway linking the Atlantic and the North Sea via the Mersey and the Humber, construction began on Hessle station.
1860
Open to the public
The official opening, on 1 July, with a grand civic ceremony and a parade through Hull centre, was ruined by heavy rain (typical). George Hoyle was the first station master to take occupancy in our building.
1910
A royal reception
At the height of WW2 King George VI and the Queen Mother visited Hessle train station on their Royal visit to Hull .
1985
Decommissioned forever
The ticket office is decommissioned and put up for commercial lease. The original floor and layout remains the same.
2019
1860 Interiors opens doors
Soon after opening our doors in 2019, we quickly became East Yorkshire’s hub for luxury interiors, providing exceptional kitchens and bedrooms for affordable prices.
